El museo de cine de Girona expone el proyecto final de carrera de Joel Amat consistente en 40 carteles de cine alternativos y que, en mi opinión, son de una gran calidad tanto a nivel técnico como a nivel conceptual.

Un buen ejemplo de cómo un personaje aparentemente secundario se convierte en un elemento imprescindible para estructurar la historia. No me refiero al tigre de tasmania, me refiero al niño. El niño sirve de bisagra y catalizador de todos los nudos de la trama.

Shame (2011), de Steve McQueen. La cita en el restaurante con la compañera de trabajo (chica de color) esta resuelta toda en plano medio. Irrita porque quieres ver mejor la expresión de los actores pero encaja por la distancia de una cita que no esta saliendo bien. En la escena siguiente, caminan a oscuras por la ciudad. Una solución visual idéntica a una escena de Manhattan, de Woody Allen.

Rounders (1998), guión de David Levien & Brian Koppleman. Si tu protagonista es un jugador de poker, debes dotarlo de autocontrol (ha decidido dejarlo y lleva un año sin jugar) e inventarle una motivación altruista (ayudar a un amigo). Solo así es aceptable que pida grandes cantidades de dinero para jugar y haga apuestas fuertes y ambiciosas.

Lonesdale Operator (1911) de D.W.Griffith. Aunque Griffith ya ha utilizado el plano medio en The Courtain Pole (1909), es en este cortometraje donde utiliza un plano medio por primera vez de manera expresiva, estética, privilegiando a la operadora respecto al otro operador de telégrafos que nunca pasa de plano general.
